Archive of news from Harvey'sEsher and Old Friends ReturnedPosted by David Harvey, Saturday 1 October 2011 ![]() George I Walnut Tallboy I shall be exhibiting again at the Esher Hall Antiques fair at Sandown Racecourse from Friday October 7th. to Sunday October 9th. and look forward to seeing lots of friends at this event. The really big news however is that we are having a special exhibition in our Showrooms at 86 Corn Street to celebrate a remarkable story."Old Friends Returned" will be special as over the past year I have been thrilled to welcome back into stock, for the second or even third time, some "Old Friends", and am delighted to be able to show how these have certainly improved with age, as well as showing the benefits of acquiring Antique furniture from a respected dealer who can look after your long term aspirations and collections. Each piece tells its own story of where it has been and with whom which we are happy to share with you . Whether it is a Kingwood Cabinet or a Campaign Washstand, draw near and listen to the tales they have to tell! We look forward to welcoming Old Friends and New in October! The exhibition opens with a champagne reception on Sunday October 16th. between 1 and 6pm. and continues to Sunday October 30th daily from 10am. to 5.30pm. There will also be other Antiques Exhibitions at other dealers in Corn Street running coincidentally on the same dates so all in all a very worthwhile time to visit Witney and go Antiques Hunting! All this just proves how there is nothing new in the World - an exhibition of re-cycled furniture and pictures! You know there will always be a warm welcome and a roaring log fire to keep the Autumn chill out at Harvey's so I look forward to seeing you later this month. As ever, David | Videos ...
