HEADLINE NEWS - HARVEY'S START THE NEW YEAR WITH A BANG AT THE NEC!
The January National Fine Art and Antiques Fair held at the NEC in Birmingham proved another successful showing for Harvey's where once again several important pieces were sold to new clients as well as existing ones. This five day fair has grown from year to year despite being moved from The Arena to Hall 11 and continues to reflect the experience throughout the Autumn of 2009.

Both the recent Autumn and the Summer Olympia fairs were successful showings for Harvey's with a number of important pieces finding new homes both in the UK and abroad. The re-vamped and much smaller Autumn Olympia was widely acclaimed as it has shrunk in size and now exists on the ground floor only. This has meant a significant rise in overall quality of exhibits as well as an easier fair for the public to navigate their way around. Many of the items which we sold went to new customers which is always very exciting and bodes well for the future.

The new flagship LAPADA Fair in Berkely Square in September was a great success not only for the dealers who by and large were pleased with the outcome, but for the visitors who turned out in huge numbers. This should ensure that this fair quite deservedly becomes a major annual event.

The Esher Hall Antiques Fair just seems to go from strength to strength and it was good to see so many existing clients at the event earlier in October. The TVADA Fair has been another good showing for us with lots of clients coming to our annual exhibition having picked up details from our stand at Radley College.

AUTUMN EXHIBITION SUCCESS
Harvey's exciting Autumn Exhibition has certainly bought in some very serious collectors with several pices being snapped up at the higher end of the spectrum. This just proves again that there is no substitute for quality - it really is where there is strength in the Antiques Market. Provenance, history and research all provide the background for successful sales.
